Fran Grey is a shareholder in the Industrial and Consumer Product Liability Practice Group in the Philadelphia office of Lavin O’Neil Ricci Cedrone & DiSipio. He concentrates his practice in product liability defense.
Mr. Grey has tried more than 30 product and premise liability actions to verdict, including multiple catastrophic injury cases locally, in jurisdictions across Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey, and in more than 30 other states. He is also certified in accident reconstruction from Northwestern University.
Mr. Grey has extensive experience in matters involving automotive crashworthiness with an emphasis on occupant protection safety systems, including airbags. He has served as local, regional and national trial counsel representing manufacturers of forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, airplane components, and aerial work platforms including scissor lifts and self-propelled boom trucks.
In addition, for the past 17 year Mr. Grey has represented large hotels, franchises and retail stores throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey in a variety of premises liability matters.
Mr. Grey has been an invited speaker to address GM Shanghai Legal Staff at their Legal Engineering Conference to develop GMS Legal Staff processes for handling product liability claims in China; and a speaker at the Conference for GM Legal Staff and outside counsel on spoliation issues arising out of production release of Sensing Diagnostic Modules (Black Box) on General Motors vehicles and on the sue of crash data recordings at Trial.
Mr. Grey holds a BS in Accounting from Lehigh University and a Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law. He is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) and the American Board of Trial Advocacy (ABOTA). He was an IADC Trial Academy Student and, later, IADC Trial Academy invited Faculty Member.
Mr. Grey is a member of the Board of Directors of Lavin O’Neil Ricci Cedrone & DiSipio.
Personal
Mr. Grey currently serves on the Advisory Executive Board of the St. Norbert School. He is an avid supporter of youth sports and sits on the Executive Board of Conestoga Generals youth Football. He coaches St. Patrick CYO Football and Berwyn Paoli Little League Baseball.
